The 49ers didn't choose Harbaugh over Baalke and Tomsula. They let him go because Harbaugh blatantly disrespected the Jed York, the owner by telling him a team meeting was for "men only" in front of all the players and coaching staff. No boss would put up with that type of insubordination from their employee.
