Ritchie Williams, App State's quarterback the last time the Mountaineers went to Baton Rouge, made it through the game. He also caused LSU some problems. And he probably wasn't as athletic as Edwards is.

I don't think you quys appreciate how quick Edwards is. Could he get hurt? Sure. Anybody can get hurt during a football game.

But I really think you guys are understimating him.

On the thing about last year's LSU team knocking starting quarterbacks out:

I don't think LSU played against a quarterback last year that was even close to Edwards in terms of quickness, speed, and elusiveness.

I don't think so. Appy beat Michigan to start the season, but lost to Wofford three weeks later. Edwards looks good vs FCS competition, but they really have never seen anything like they will with LSU's Defense. I pray he doesn't get hurt, but if he plays all 4 quarters, he will be in the training room quite a bit thereafter.

I never said that anyone on this board wasn't showing class and I never really blamed anybody for saying they wanted him injured.

There was a reply that said if I wanted to whine about class go somewhere else. I was simply saying that if you want respect you have to be classy about it.

if you want respect, you have to earn it on the field. LIKE YALL DID VS MICHIGAN. Now don't let that respect and all this hype about this game turn into over confidence. Come august 30, armanti is gonna be running away from (but mostly into) a whole new animal. You woulda had a better chance in this game if michigan woulda blown you out. The threads on here on sunday will look like "why didn't LM get JJ into the game until 3:23 in the 3rd???" or "Good to see how much depth we have at WR"

I agree that you have to earn respect on the field, but I don't care how good you are, if you don't do it with class, I'm not going to respect you. I'm not saying LSU will act like that, just bringing that up.

If you do all this celebration crap(like UGA last year), I think that lacks class and I don't respect it...

Why would I let respect become over confidence? I'm just glad to even get respect from people...

No one on here is really begging for AE to get hurt.

I think asking if a 180lb QB from a I-AA team will be able to last a whole game is a legit question considering we've done it over and over again against bigger, I-A opponents.

No one is being "classless". You're the one whining.

not really referring to you per say. and yes what georgia did was classless, and everytime someone jumps on the eye, it's classless (don't poke the tiger, he'll bite you) I think i can say with alot of certainty that LSU plays with as much sportmanship as anyone.....See Auburn game last year and the lack of retaliation.

The point is the class debate got started because someone thought that my fellow tigerfans meant the team would make a conscious effort to hurt armanti. NOT TRUE. But if he runs like he normally does, i'd say his chances are less than 50-50 of making it through. It's common sense. If he runs, he'll get hit, he'll get hit harder, and then chad will hit him, then he's fricked. look on the bright side, laron plays in the NFC East now

I don't think our football team will jump on the eye...so you don't have to worry about that...Coach Moore wouldn't let something like that happen.

I also think that LSU has sportsmanship and that's part of the reason why I respect the team. That and the fact that...you're good..

Wow, when I started this thread I didn't think it would get this bad. The whole "will he make it through the game" thing was something I was saying in jest making reference to the quarterbacks LSU knocked out last year. Some of those quarterbacks were not knocked out due to injury. Henig (Miss. St.) and Glennon (Va. Tech) were lifted due to ineffectiveness. The real thing I was asking was whether App. St. would change the game plan a little to keep Edwards on his feet. I would NEVER wish injury on another player. I was just thinking that Appy's coach may run him less to save him for conference play.

haha most innocently posted threads turn into huge arguments and bitter sportsmanship by SOME idiots on this board...just gotta learn to ignore them...i wish there was more civilized CFB talk than people fighting over stupid issues...let's just have a talk about some good players...

Armanti is quick and elusive. Arm tackles and grabbing at the jersey is the norm for tackling Armanti. He will make it through the game!!!!
