The only rule of this thread is that you can't say Peterson or Jefferson as the players named.

Has anyone heard about any of the OTHER freshman that are practicing there way into playing time this year? I know we brought in a couple of stud TE's that may be used in 2 TE's sets and what about of the LB's we brought in????

Has anyone heard something real about them playing this year, not from there friend who bartends at Freds either.

Tyler Edwards was mentioned in the articles posted this morning. Miles said he would get PT as both a TE and FB.

Look for Theriot to play alot on special teams and some at OLB.

Maybe either C Tolliver or DeAngelo Peterson at WR

That kid Theriot played in the spring game and didn't look bad for a kid that should have been getting ready for prom.

I agree I think he does play a lot on ST, I've heard this kid Baker is supposed to be real good at the LB spot. Any chance he sees the field on ST or mop up duty?

Yea I expect Theriot and Baker to play this year. I think Prater redshirts. That would give us Theriot, Baker, Cutrera, and Clemons at LB as backups. Not a bad group.

I really don't think Baker will play this year. Everyone is saying he looks really small. I would expect these freshman to get playing time:

Theriot
Peterson
Edwards
Jefferson
Brandon Taylor
Deangelo Peterson
Prater(maybe. yes if there are any lb injuries)
Tolliver(maybe in a special teams role)

I know Hagans has been moved to the morning practices but i don't see a reason any freshman d lineman should play this year.

I don't think so. I think he needs to put on weight and our safeties are Taylor, Coleman, Jones, McCray, and Francois. That's great talent and good numbers. No reason for him to burn a redshirt.

I assume you mean incoming freshman, but if not I hear John Williams will be getting a lot of PT as a return specialist.

So, what are ya'll hearing about Hagans...what is being said about him...is he showing better than Edwards at DL? That would be great if he comes on strong...

He's very impressive physically. I've heard him compared to Al Woods in terms of being freakishly large with the ability to move. He was moved from afternoon practice with fellow freshmen to morning practice with returning players. That says something.

Word is Edwards looks good physically as well. That's about all anyone has to go on right now. How the players pass the eye test.

Thanks, I've been curious about where Hagans and Edwards would finally positioned on the DL or even possibly the OL...this class could turn quite a few heads before it's over...
