Admin discharges are usually given for medical purposes or "other reasons". I've seen a lot of guys fail drug tests and get admin discharges.

You have to do pretty crazy shite to get a Dishonorable, most people who get kicked out get Bad Conducts at worst.

When I was in if you popped positive you were dishonorably discharged but you could down grade it to an administrative discharge upon appeal. Regardless, he was discharged under less than honorable conditions.

It’s BS but that mirrors my experience. I doubt Hunter needed any pull to get a general discharge, even for cocaine.

Yup, other than honorable is the most common for drug use, no one gets a dishonorable unless he was a drug/sex trafficking ring leader. Can easily see Hunter getting it bumped to admin for his “drug addiction” medical diagnosis or however they played it
