So they traded their MVP in his prime to save 15m a year?
Also, Boston has no bullpen and their starters were some of the worse in baseball. Add they traded their 1B, Bradley Jr is a FA, they have no 2B, etc.... Let them sign Springer to finish 4th in the AL East next year.
As far as the Astros.... OF will be a concern but I wouldn't mind signing Profar as he was pretty good last year with the Padres and has some position versatility. Let Brantley walk, he has been great but his age unless he will will to sign a 1 year deal with option.
Pitching staff is fairly set but I believe they bring in a vet to limit the innings of the younger guys. The bullpen needs help but they try to fix it within.
I'd hope they resign Springer but he may be looking for 20-25m a year over 4-5. Which may be too expensive considering. Eaton/Gordon may be options considering you could get them cheap as a fill gap. Puig and JBJ are options and I wouldn't mind Bradley in CF.

Profar is a very interesting option.
Wouldn’t mind Bradley either if Springer is gone (or you could slide Springer to RF if you wanted)

If I was in charge, I'd sign him for 5/$125M right now.
He'll want more money and more years.

Don't be surprised if that's exactly who they sign.
