Who are they and why would it benefit them to do so?

You can’t reason with sky screaming morons. 98% of the population will be fine after contracting COVID. If you are older or have several pre existing conditions, take precaution. If not, who has a right to tell anyone how to live their lives?

. I personally know 8 people that have passed from COVID-19. 2 were 50 and 53. The rest were in their 70’s. With that, I think you listen to Fox News too much. I’m a staunch Republican and have been for >57 years. It is not a joke or a lie.

I actually did lol. I sold him a car. What you are seeing is what the media is pushing. They aren't going to put physicians on TV that disagree with what their agenda is. Stop being a sheep lol.

Yeah well it's one of the few things I can do right now.

And I apologize for getting a little irate but I thought the same way a lot of people on here thinking it's minor and everything else I thought no big deal I'm not going to get it, I worked around tons of people who had it it jumps up and it kicks you and it makes you feel like you got hit by a truck.

According to the CDC, only six percent of that number actually died from CCP flu. The rest had strokes, motorcycle wrecks, cancer, and etc.

Yes, and I've had it too, but I've had other viruses that have made me feel a million times worse.

6% of those numbers they keep flashing or COVID deaths. The other 200 thousand or so had 2 or 3 other life threatening illnesses. Go to the CDC websites and get an eye full of the bullshi.... It’s an unbelievable read.

The president got it and needed a 3day hospital visit and focused/soecialized care.
Chris Christie got it and was in ICU for a week.
215k have died.
Highly contagious

Yeah, I’d say pretty big concern, but then again, I’m not a Trump voter... ??

200,000 people out of 350 million is almost not, especially when you consider the median age of deaths is 87 years old. News flash, old people die.

There are approximately 2,353 American deaths per day from cardiovascular disease, for a total of nearly 860,000 deaths per year.

Do you see the media demanding the full shutdown of every fast food restaurant in america, and the removal of all sugary foods and beverages on grocery store shelves that lead to obesity and other heart debilitating issues?

No. You don't.

Figured I'd just leave it at that.

Are you sure they all really died from Covid-19? Also why have all the other causes of death conveniently drop? I forgot this a college site and a bunch of gullible young people. I hope you all don't just follow along with everything in the news like a bunch of cows in a herd.

I’m 45 and no kid. I don’t watch ANY mainstream or cable news because it’s all bullshite and skewed in one direction or the other. It’s pretty clear that you are totally bought into what the right is saying and not evaluating any unbiased scientific information on how COVID works and what it can do to people, even those who don’t die. Google COVID longhaulers and tell me all of them are lying, a-hole.

I understand the frustration because there are areas that haven’t had overwhelming numbers of cases and it makes people wonder if there is anything to this pandemic. My area has had steady increases in numbers, but has never had issues with ICUs being overwhelmed. And through the shutdowns and gradual thaw, I’ve barely missed any work. It doesn’t feel like a big deal to many because of this.

But that’s wrong. Objectively wrong if you pay any attention to information direct from scientific studies. Personally, I know several people who have spent as much as 20 days on vents in the ICU. Of the two worst cases, one was in their 20s with no pre-existing issues and the other was 50. Two other young people in their early 20s I know were down and out of work for a month before they recovered and could go back.

That doesn’t line up with what the Republican media is constantly saying about how harmless COVID is. As long as you don’t drop dead, they don’t give a shite if it wrecks your immune system and you have crazy symptoms for 2-4 months after. They don’t care if you miss work and lose your job. It’s no big deal if you have heart, lung or kidney damage that lasts for years. If you don’t drop dead, then it’s fricking harmless.

I take COVID seriously because I only have one functioning kidney and this disease has been scientifically proven to attack the kidney as hard as any organ in the body. If I were to get a bad case of COVID, then I could end up on dialysis or a transplant list with a significantly reduced lifespan. There are a lot of people in the US who, like me, have all kinds of pre-existing issues that make us more susceptible to COVID-19. Many of us can’t afford to sit at home so the rest of you can live life normally without being inconvenienced.

And that’s 100% what your mindset is all about. Whether you want to admit it or not, you want those of us who are susceptible to COVID to disappear or stay at home and starve so you don’t have to be inconvenienced with wearing a mask or having to go to a little extra trouble in your daily life. I understand that denial is more enjoyable, but it’s also makes you a person who values their freedom to go to a restaurant and not wear a mask more than anyone around you who may be vulnerable to COVID. Enjoy living in Fox News fantasy land.

Yes, because it’s much more logical and rational to protect the vulnerable than to shut down the ENTIRE economy. Your mindset is 100% about you and only you, screw if people are losing their shirt because you refuse to worry about your damn self and not what everyone else is doing.

Hahaha.. you think other pandemics were election based too? Rapid test are known to be inaccurate. What will be your crutch once the election is over?
