Just do the OT thing and buy a new one.
Probably best bet for repairs is the Apple Store which will run you about $200. Might get it cheaper at one of the UBreakIFix places.
Used ones are on Swappa for about $350.

Phone Clinic on airline in Prairieville. I’ve used them for a bunch of stuff. Great people.

does it matter if it is not genuine Apple replacement parts

I’ve never had an issue with that. Phone Clinic has replaced screens and batteries for me in the past.
I had one time I thought the charge port needed to be replaced. They agreed to do it then called me a few hours later and said it just needed a good cleaning. They could have charged me for the parts and labor and I’d have never known the difference. Phone worked perfectly after that.

Just be sure to erase all incriminating evidence before bringing it in.
