I'm not really a fan a charters, I'm probably going to do one or to so I learn the area and its hazards a little. But for the most part I would rather figure out where to fish on my own. To me fishing is a puzzle, and puzzles are only fun if you don't know where the next piece goes.

That may be the case for most fishing areas go, but Venice is a different animal. It's not a puzzle, it's a dangerous place if you don't know what you're doing. Hell, just getting out of the jump into to river can be dangerous as shite with all the commercial boat traffic and MS river currents. Listen to what everyone is saying and take a couple of charters.

You are better off chartering out of Venice man. It is very dangerous and always changing. In a 22ft Express is hilarious/insane and hope you are kidding.

Another puzzle piece you will find missing is the fact you won’t have a boat that can cruise 50+ mph after catching bait at first light to beat the other 30 charter boats to the one hot rig during the summertime.
