I don't see the point in buying a $40,000-$50,000 used boat that i will use 2-5 times per year. Not to mention my truck could barely pull that.. Vs a bay boat that I use nearly every week.

I run a 24' single engine deep draft bay boat out of fourchon and Venice both a good bit. I pick my days VERY carefully, in a 3000 lb boat with a 100 gallon fuel tank and every safety feature available to man.
Stay inshore bud, and get some experience with someone who has experience. I dont want to be answering a pompom for a bunch of kids in a floatinf beer can 20 miles out

Would it be a better idea to just go on a charter trip if only going a few times a year?
