older deep v boat in the 20-23' range specifically for offshore.

We’ve all done it but I wouldnt recommend it. Twin engines a must and you’ll want something atleast 25’.

You don't need a 25' boat to go offshore and you don't need twins to go offshore. ]

There are plenty of boats under 20' that are seaworthy in offshore conditions. I would rank having a back up gas tank with fresh, clean fuel more important than having a second motor with modern outboards.

There are people in here that wouldn't have you launch in a brec pond with your tin boat, they also wear masks in their car while driving alone.

I don't see the point in buying a $40,000-$50,000 used boat that i will use 2-5 times per year. Not to mention my truck could barely pull that.. Vs a bay boat that I use nearly every week.

Because I’m sure Hurricane has no budget and money is no object to him like most other posters here.

Definitely not a must on twin engines... Have been fishing Venice last 12 plus years out of 24 foot Grady single engine Boat (DF300_... Have no issue running out to Titan/Thunderhorse/Devils tower you name it with 160 gallon tank, pick your days and have a Epirb and PLB and stay on top of your maintenance..Fished drillship in June south of Mars this past summer and 5 other boats out there were all 55 foot plus sportys for one of the triple crown tourneys all on 350 bucks gas plus ice and bait. Loaded box with YFT and jumbo blacks on topwater. Fishbag is must for 150 plus fish though. Been a long time lurker photobucket a must for uploading pics on this site?? Def a tad bit more difficult than im use too.
