I doubt it. He has nothing to gain and everything to lose. He's still a swamper so he doesn't want to bite the hand that feeds him.
Anyway, there isn't anything he could possibly do to beat Tuberville.

I will take that bet. If Jones was going to pander and attempt to save his seat, he would have voted to confirm Kavanaugh, and he would have voted to acquit during the impeachment.

Jones is a No vote.

Zero chance any dem votes for her. Giving Trump the ability to say that he got a bipartisan USSC nominee would help him too much.

will be interesting to see bc the communist democratic machine might cut his funding immediately if they don't approve.

Not happening. It screws his chance of being hired as a left wing lobbyist or some other useless DC swamp org.

One of the final frick yous to AL majority wishes.

I'd love to see it, but he won't. Jones knows he's going down no matter what, so there's no reason for him NOT to screw the Republicans.

No chance. He knows he is losing and he doesn't want to lose any future political status he might could hold.

He is a hard “no” because he is already lining up a lobbying job and can’t have that hanging over him. His short tenure in the Senate will pay huge dividends going forward.

Could vote to confirm her, take a dump on RBG's grave, and slap Pelosi and he is still getting voted out...

Not at all. Doug Jones isn't running for Senate, he's running for a cabinet level post with Biden/Harris.

Not surprised. A lot of their votes are nonpartisan where they get close to 100%. It could be something like “Recognizing the Extraordinary Accomplishments of ______”. The 35% that he doesn’t vote with republicans are probably the only votes you would care about anyway.

Not a chance, he'll vote with team blue like he always does. Besides, either choice for him is a political loser. If he votes to confirm, he may pick up a few moderates but his primary left-wing base won't show up to the polls. If he votes no, it just cements his deficit.

If Schumer sees that the Republicans have the votes, he will allow Democratic senators to vote for the nomination if he thinks it may help them politically just like he allowed Manchin to vote for Kavanaugh after it became apparent Republicans had the votes to confirm Kavanaugh.

Oh if it was very visible and resulted in multiple picture of her dentures flying out of her mouth, I would buy him a beer when he got home but I damn sure would not vote for him...

He sat next to me on a flight from B'ham to the ATL one time... He had just left a boondoggle golf event and it was the longest flight of his life... He asked to be moved but it was a full flight...
