He has the weakest arm out of the three. Is it strong enough to do the job is the question?

None of us know yet for sure.

I'm not one to critique by any means, but they both look like they are throwing off the front foot

From what I've seen his arm isn't as strong as Flynn's.

you are right, we will have to wait and see. If you had to compare hatch to mauck, are there any similarities?

Mauck ran better, but the arm strength is probably close.

I started another thread about this and the question I posed was "How easy is it to gain arm strength?" I think with a some extra workouts, the supposed problem can be solved.

I agree. His arm is not typical SEC quality. From what I've seen, OK on the short stuff, but marginal on the long ones. I do like his athletic ability though, and he seems to have a knack for making things happen.

Its looking more and more like he's close to a Mauck clone. Sounds like the speed and size are about the same. Remember we doing well with a younge Mauck until he got hurt. Also, Crowton>Jimbo . I think we are going to better than o'k this year at QB and will be in the title hunt. After all, defense wins championships, and we have the best defense IMO.

" Crowton>Jimbo"
I agree 152%, crowton is that something extra that may turn the tide for the tigers this year.

That's a sign of "aiming" too much, trying to hard to be accurate. They need to get some confidence and just let 'er rip!

Then you didn't interpret what you read in the replies to your question. These are college QBs who are already very strong and fit. Working out more, increasing muscle strength in the arms, etc. WILL NOT give them stronger throwing arms. They may get a little more zip on the ball, but not enough for any of us to notice. Go back and read the posts in your "arm strength" thread.

i didn't want to start a thread like this to have people get upset, but from what i've watched of practice videos, his arm strength is frightening to me. ball is traveling downward on a 15 yard route.

IMO, Hatch's arm strength is similar to Wilson's of Alabama.
