Here are some of my issues. Please feel free to add your own.

1. My tomatoes are not doing well in pots. I've been watering them a lot.
2. Argentine ants are infesting my trees. Anyone else having problems with these little black ants?
3. The leaves from my oak trees are starting to fall now. They usually don't fall till late Aug.
4. My roses are shite this year. I think I'll just pull them up and try again. Any ideas on varieties?
BTW, killed another scorpion today. I seem to get one every two years.

1. I fricking hate whiteflies
2. I fricking hate aphids
3. I think I have found the ultimate location for growing eggplants, which is pretty exciting.
4. Juliet tomatoes are damn near unkillable.
5. Squash plants are worthless.

2) This is my 1st year growing Ichiban Eggplants in lieu of Black Beauty.......3 times the amount of harvest........

3) Bell Peppers are pretty cheap, but very easy to grow...........

4) I am fixin to plant another row of Purple Hull Peas as the first planting has done awesome.

5) Why can't I grow Squash???

I can grow the frick out of squash plants, I just can't get them to make any squash.

And I forgot to add in my earlier complaint list that my potato-crop-in-a-garbage-can experiment didn't go so well.

I want to start a pepper garden (Jalapenos and Habeneros). What kind of light/temperature do these plants need? Do they need much water?

Squash Problem? squash has male and female blooms. You need both and a pollenator to get squash. If you are using something like Sevin dust on your plants, you may be killing pollenators (Bees and such)

You can hand pollenate as well. Lack of both blooms can be due to over fertilizing or lack of fertilizing, from the sound of the tomatoes, over fertilizing is my bet.

My tomatoes are about 7 feet high. I planted Floridade and Principe Borghese with the best results. Roma called Mama Leone did aweful and was not good tasting either. Couldn't find creoles, but floridades worked out nice.

Lots of sun and sandy soil...they grow pretty easy....I grow them every year and harvest more than I can eat so I put them in empty half gallon dewars bottles(seem to have a lot of those for some reason) and cover with vinegar and give as Christmas gifts.

How big are your pots? This was my first effort and my two pots are 5 gallon size. Planted Big Boys. Got 6 really nice tomatoes and now the plants are dying. I think I'll go with 10 gallon pots next spring and maybe add some sand to the dirt to get more drainage.

my garden started off great and then went to hell. i got dirt from a landscape place of jones creek and it was riddled with grass seed. i didnt put down a preemergent (sp?) bc i never needed to before. i finally scrapped it bc i was weeding for 4 hours each week, but i got a decent amount of cherry tomatoes first. this gardener guy i know told me where to go to get the good dirt. i plan on planting a fall garden when it cools off.

What type oak? I've been noticing a lot of Nuttall Oaks(red variety) doing bad this summer.

There is always the easy maintenance 'knock-out' rose or Nearly Wild rose.

Every type. I've got 140 trees on 1.3 acres (yes, it's pretty dense). About 40 of them are oak. They were here long before I bought the place 15 years ago.

I planted the knockouts 5 years ago. They did great for 3 years. Now they're dead as a doornail.

Got any advice for a plant that refuses to have male and female blossoms at the same time?

I have a big rose garden, the rule of thumb is water heavily once a week, spray a mixture of fungicide and insecticide once a week. Also, fertilize about 4 times a year.

I have alot of the David Austin roses and they resist alot of diseases and bloom all year. Look these up, they are crossed from hybrid teas and the old world roses.

Try the Purple one called Epic it is a hybrid that is resistant to lots of viruses. I have been picking mine for over 3 months and still very healthy bushes. I sell at a local farmers market so I have alot of bushes. Yesterday I picked 75 eggplant from 27 bushes and this is after 3 months.
