Pocket squares and tie clips
I will wear a pocket square on occasion outside the office but never in my professional life. I think a well-folded pocket square and a well-tied and properly dressed tie just looks sharp.
While tie clips and bars have come back in style I still associate them with smarmy used car salesmen with grease from lunch still on their hands and mayo on their tie.
Being in my early 50s chasing GQ's newest look is kinda in my rear view. I bristle at thin ties and narrow lapels as well. Fake handstitched suits look ghastly to me also.

I fricking hate dressing up for work. I probably look like a slob but every time I go to a meeting I feel like everyone has a custom tailor and I just stepped out of a Ross.
