Maybe 1,000 songs? Not certain. The transfer from phone to phone is so easy now, I never know if my music is actually on my device or not.
this is what happens when you are a member of OINK's pink palace, WHAT.CD..orpheus...
i became very spoiled and built my ultimate music collection over the course of 20 years or so that could fit nowhere except a large local storage device.
those sites; unlike shitty streaming services..thrive on being complete, accurate and of pristine quality. therefore rare, out-of-print, bootlegs, etc. were part of the scene. we're talking audiophile sites where albums like "Dark Side of the Moon" have well in excess of 100 different formats available to download.
yeah i'm a total fag for wanting EVERY SINGLE RELEASE from 4AD and other shite but like with any collection, if you're going to go to the trouble to do it, you might as well do it right.
and before anyone gets on their high horse, i'm presently looking at a MASSIVE stack of audio CDs behind me in my office..I tried to collect everything from certain labels when it was only on CDs back in the day so its not like i haven't invested heavily over the years in bands and artists i like.
so in short, i never attempted to stick any music files on my phone because i wouldn't know where to start. it seemed pointless to copy anything to my phone when google promised to keep my collection warm & toasty in that great Cloud in the Sky.
