So I sat down to watch TV and saw this game. I said there is no way I'll see any BS about racism in this game, it's military after all, but NOPE. Air Force was wearing uniforms that said Red Tails, so I went on the Internets to find out what this was about?

Turns out that the Redskins might use this name and it's in honor of the Tuskegee Airman. Are there any teams left that want to play football or do they all want to tell you how racist you are?

So the Air Force paying homage to the Redtails bothers you?

ETA: Go Navy beat Air Force!

Look, I cannot stand all the racial stuff. But as an AF Retiree I have absolutely no problem with honoring the Tuskegee Airmen. They are an important part of our history.

Those were men of courage who black youth be taught about and emulate.

Where's the lie? The Redtails were the first black aviators in the Air Force.

Tuskegee Airmen were great Americans. If the NCAA is going to allow players to include messages of support for folks, then the Red Tails are a fantastic group to choose.

I’ll be honest, you sound like a fricking idiot! The Air Force has paid respect and honored the Tuskegee Airman for many years.

But you don’t mention all the people speaking positively about the Red Tails.

Because their takes aren’t shitty.

I was specifically talking about shitty takes. Of which there are many on this board. From conservatives and liberals

The Redtails were heroes and patriots that happened to be black. The fought and died for America.

I have no issue with honoring them. Indeed, we need more people like them today. They gave for their country, expecting little in return.

This melt is sad.

I was part of the 332nd AEW when I was in Iraq. Was a known fact it was derived from the Redtails. An honor to be a part of that group of Patriots.

Go AF. Sink Navy.

The Tuskegee Airmen had one of the most outstanding records in WWII. They put up with a lot of BS, and earned their reputation as one of the best bomber escort squadrons in Europe. They also shot down 3 ME262 Jets in a single day with P-51 mustangs. I had the privilege to meet two of the officers about 18 years ago and to this day it is one of my best memories.
