I can see how it would be successful in St. Louis, but why would cities with an NFL team support this long term? I love football, but I don't mind having a few months off to watch other things and other sports. They'll do well for a couple weekends in Houston, Dallas, NY, LA, etc. and then nobody will give a shite.

I agree, when the XFL came back this past time and announced the cities, I thought it was a) suicide b) a joke. Their angle was the TV markets, which I can see. But for a league like this to have any sort of success, you need fan support + TV. Id keep 2 teams in Texas, with 1 being in SA. I would take out LA, and keep 1 in NY.

Dallas/Houston - tv market
San Antonio - Fan support
Seattle - tv market and fan support
Portland - fan support
St Louis - fan support
Birmingham - fan support
Columbus - fan support
New York - TV market
