Covington, Lafayette, and Metairie were all owned by the same person.... a friend of mine from college. His father owned businesses that managed commercial and rental properties all over the State

Would like to know the inside story from your friends, being pro-business myself. I think, no matter the market, there will already be established favorites.

I'd like to say that traffic and distance determines where you go for pizza, so maybe it was too far away for many people to be regular patrons. MM here was located right in front of The Grand movie theater. No brainer, right? Didn't blow the doors off. But Zea, right down the street, is never hurting, going to the movies or not, is always busy.

I think MM did a good job of competing against the national chains in many markets, but Laffy had too many excellent local options.
