We gave up over 600 yards passing.
It don't matter if you have Tom Brady

Brennan certainly did enough to win yesterday I think. The o-line and defense have to get better though or it won’t matter how much Brennan progresses this year.

Can’t we bitch about both?

And the cornerbacks were young and inexperienced. Brennan is fricking senior and looked horrible.

Can’t really teach vision, instincts, and awareness. He has none. He’s like a less athletic Brandon Harris.

27 points off 4 turnovers? No, he did not.

One of the turnovers was a pick 6. So it’s disingenuous to include that. The offense had no chance to score off of that.

You are wasting your time. And while Brennan wasn’t good...

Many think the defense was good and that the defense was the reason we weren’t brayed worse.

Even though time of possession was even
Even though we ran more plays
Even though the defense gave up 12-15 third and long plays
Even though the only time the defense got off the field in third down it’s was because State scores a Td
Even though the defense gave up 600 yards passing

It was entirely the fault of Myles and the offense.

These idiots think the defense played great

This has been addressed.

It actually does matter.. the D made stops
early in the game and our offense couldn’t take advantage.

The D also got 4 miraculous turnovers and we still could not capitalize.

Of course it matters who is QB. Burrow alone would have been the difference despite atrocious D. We couldn’t sustain drives... that absolutely matters and it’s silly to act like it doesn’t.

Yes, it was a total team losing effort, but QB can still be the biggest difference in wins and losses regardless of everything else.

Look. If you think Brennan is the quarterback of the future you need glasses. Nobody said the defense wasn't terrible, however, had nothing to do with the deer in head lights QB we have.

The people that can’t accept that Brennan was not good and point solely to the defense don’t understand football at all.

Yesterday was on the coaching. If they had been patient and committed to running for 4 yards a pop like they could have, Miss St doesn't get to play ball control.

Literally no one thinks the defense played great.

It’s just harder to knock them when they’re down the top CB in the country and were put in a terrible position from the start because of the offense. The D got turnovers and stops and the offense did NOTHING with it. MSU’s WRs told their media that the LSU DBs were telling them how exhausted they were.

And why would they be exhausted if miss state ran 8 less plays than we did and the time of possession was exactly even?

Not saying D gets a pass but Breannna was not good yesterday. He holds the ball to long and is indecisive with the ball this kid has been in the program for 4 years no excuses

This time 2 years ago, we would have given anything for 345 yards and 3 touchdowns. Things sure have changed around here.

Brennan does not play defense and he did enough to win the game if the defense would have showed up.

We ran more plays and TOP was basically even.

Now tell me it’s the offenses fault the defense was on the field so much. Why is it the offenses fault the defense gave up so many first downs and TDs on THIRD AND LONG???

Why can’t people just admit the defense contributed just as much if not more to the loss than the offense.

Defense did look bad but defense score a td and force 4 turnovers you still should win that game

Burrows was 11/24 for 140 his first start. I can remember screaming at him to get rid of the ball. The reason Marshall and McMath didn’t start the 2nd half was to make a statement to them. Brennan made mistakes, of courses!!! This is his first game getting hit. They don’t hit the QB in practice.Him making a comeback after the 1st half showed he will improve. We got caught not being able to change the game plan on defense with Stingley getting sick. We had R Jones, Cameron Lewis, Thorton, and Glen Logan out as well. After hearing O brag how good the defense was going to be, I think we have to say they were a Huge disappointment.
