LSU called a Time out to get the defense a breather and set

We come out in dime with three DL and two LBs

Stevens rushes from the middle and easily gets blocked away, looked completely gassed, so we rushed four against five

No one else gets to within three yards of Costello, DBs are in man with two safeties lost in the middle of the field in zone

Ward was beat on the outside, Flott was also beat on the hash, Safety Hampton never got over the top and was five yards behind Flott and nowhere near Ward. Hampton didn’t cross the hash until after the ball was thrown even though TWO WRs got behind the CBs

Payton ran right by Flott with no contact, Ward tried to grab Mitchell but failed, mitchell caught the TD

Either Mitchell OR Payton could have caught the winning TD

The only play that beats you is a TD pass, yet we have CBs in man with safeties in zone chasing WRs from behind and give up a TD

UNREAL out of a TO that is what we set up and ran

If we don’t call that TO, we would have stopped them for a FG. That was a moronic call

Great post. I haven’t seen the replay, or highlights, so knowing that we only rushed four, how did we not have safety help for a cornerback who was standing flat-footed as the WR ran past him?

JaCoby had to be restrained on the sideline by Glenn Logan after that play. He was going off on Jay Ward.

The technique was so bad

I haven't seen something that bad since 2008

Interesting. One can argue about what position group underwhelmed most, but lack of preparation may be the most glaring issue.
