Subsidies. Subsidies for everyone. This is how politicians like Newsom exploit the system.
1) Receive financial contribution from electric car manufacturers for 'election campaign'
2) Raise taxes
2) Pass law requiring purchase of electric vehicles
3) Provide monies back to low-income taxpayers in form of subsidies needed to purchase vehicles
4) Take credit
5) Snort coke and bang hookers with electric car manufacturer CEO and President
