I said in posts last month that Dems wouldn’t make a vaccine easily available to their constituents. They’ll lose the power of fear over the populace if the citizenry gets vaccinated.
Cuomo is just the first. There will be others who will say the same thing in the near future. It will be interesting to see how NY and other Dem bloc states stop their citizens from crossing the border to get the vaccine in another state.

Tens of thousands of people will have taken the vaccine by the time its made available. All his scientists wil so is read the data. Just like all of us. He is political posturing, of course.

That reveals a fundamental misunderstanding of the drug approval process. FDA reviews the data provided by the pharmaceutical company, generated by the pharmaceutical company, and at the expense of the pharmaceutical company. And an approval requires Phase I - III trials, even if fast-tracked. Given the high profile nature of the pandemic and the half dozen vaccines currently in development, the notion that a company would fail to fully disclose adverse events to the FDA or that the FDA would overlook them for political purposes is asinine.
But then again, it's Cuomo. And he seems to be far more concerned with scoring political points on the national stage than moving his state past the pandemic.
