I think what happened to Taylor was tragic, but it wasn’t racism that killed her.
When that keeps being used to label every thing involving a minority it loses meaning.
I agree. Racism had nothing to do with why this warrant was served. Adding racial hyperbole to this discussion simply further pollutes an already poisoned debate about the abuse of Constitutional due process in this never-ending War on Drugs®.

The false narrative that it was a no knock warrant has been proven false I keep hearing the same misinformation being spewed.
That is not a false narrative. That the police announced in this incident does not change the reality the warrant was ISSUED as a no-knock raid. And we are splitting hairs here anyhow.
Even if the police announced, the door was broken down within a split second of that announcement. The whole point of these dynamic forced entry raids is to surprise and disorient the intended targets of the raid. It seems reasonable to assume that in the confusion of the moment, Walker did not hear or comprehend the police announcement.

quote:Yes, and again this is where procedural reform is badly needed. At best, the cops made several false assumptions in the BT case. Odds are very high this was departmental habit and not a one-off example.
Typing "Breonna Taylor had installed surveillance cameras in order to detect the approach of law enforcement personnel" (paraphrased rather than finding the damned affidavit yet again) in the complete absence of ANY evidence that she had ever done any such thing? That is NOT a "clerical error." It is a blatant, fraudulent misrepresentation

Right it was a no knock warrant but they did not act upon it and still knocked and announced who they were.
I never once mentioned walker. The police announced and if I’m asleep I doubt I hear that part and only hear my door crashing in or at best I am awakened by the voice yelling but it is not clear what is said. I doubt I wouldn’t have done the same.
My point is the narrative is false that they are executed a no knock entry. That is false. It doesn’t do the discussion any good to claim they did.
