La Tech, just like ULL, has always had a small man's complex when it came to LSU! They are no better than any other instate school.

Somebody find the scores of Tech and NLU in the seventies ,I went to NLU in the mid seventies and Tech waxed them every year, plus winning the small college championship in 75 I believe and almost winning it twice in a row. I went to a lot of those games and NLU was a joke in the 70s

The reason they have all the HOFers is because the SEC did not allow blacks to play until the late 60s. Imagine if LSU had them?

Hell Billy Joe Dupree is from West Monroe and went to Michigan St in the early 70s.

That all changed when John David Crow came to NLU in the late 70s.

I don't disagree with that, point was that quite a lot of those players were local guys...

Tech began avoiding NLU in the 1980's because they were afraid. It's still happening now. Tech avoids a certain annual sellout crowd because they are afraid of ULM. ULM has officially realized this and refuses to compete with Tech in other sports because of this. Good job 'hawks!

ALL i CAN FIND is an old Tech annual, where Tech was the 1974 UPI National champions. They beat Northeast 26-10 that year but were undeafeated during the year(24-7 )over Mc Neese and losing to central Michigan in the playoff. I believe this would have been a repeat as they were undeafeated and NC the year before. 15 and two is about right . NLU was horrible TECH was very good(the seniors were 44-4). That is not BS , I was AT alot of those games

Tech went 10-9 vs. NLU in the 1970's and 1980's.

NLU was on a winning streak when Tech decided that they were afraid to continue the annual rivalry. (Tech even cheated in 1989 because they were so scared!!!)

They are pussies.

1971 through 77 Tech was 7-0 against Northeast. Northeast had some good teams in the eighties I wouldnt be surprised if tech owned the seventies Northeast the eighties

The 1980s were such a big deal, because NLU Head Coach Pat Collins dominated the series. La Tech is joke and they have the Napoleon complex!

Yep. They may compete in the WAC, but they're really in the Sun Belt.
