I’ve started requesting some other shipping method besides FedEx when I order if any other shipper is available through the seller.

Oh, trust me, I'd love to do that. With decent deals on ammo these days, you just buy as quickly as possible and hope for the best or you miss out on the deal. You waste time trying to change shipping and you might not get ammo.

Ammo shipments can suck... it comes down to the driver's preference.

I've watched the UPS "follow my delivery" map a number of times, and it pisses me off royally each time. The guy circles my house for hours, coming close, even within a street, only to drive away again. I've gotten deliveries after 9pm, or delayed to the next day (and they try to leave it at some crappy pickup place, which is unacceptable to me).

Here's what I think happens- the driver loads his truck, and that case of ammo is heavy. So he doesn't want to deal with it, and delivers everything else first.

I've filed several complaints with UPS, from missed deliveries, to one being after 10:30 (when he was a block over at 2pm).

I'd guess Fedex is the same way.

I think what I'm going to try on my next order is to ask that it be delivered to their location at the Walgreens down the street. You can quickly place the order and then log into FedEx once they have scanned it the first time and request delivery to a different location. Maybe if it's going from FedEx facility to FedEx facility, there will be fewer shenanigans.

Or, maybe changing things mid-stream just gets it sent to Uzbekistan.

We shall find out.

Try having it shipped to your office. It seems home delivery is not a big priority, but commercial is. So it gets more attention.
