you understand that all repealing roe v. wade would do is throw the abortion issue back to individual state jurisdiction
The uninformed electorate doesn’t know this, nor will they be informed of this fact by any of the media they consume.
But some federal legal protection for aborting pregnancies is necessary. There are rare instances where terminating a pregnancy is life saving for the mother. You can’t criminalize physicians who decide terminating the pregnancy of a dying preeclamptic woman is in their best interest and offer it as a treatment option. If you could actually limit them to procedures which required medical necessity, you’d have thousands of abortions per year instead of hundreds of thousands. How you do that is the debate we should be having. But people on the left don’t care about the elective killing of babies by irresponsible women and people on the right believe that a mother unnecessarily dying during pregnancy was all a part of Gods plan for her.

Depends on what you mean. Most fertilization events end in abortion already, with between 15% to 25% of all pregnancies ending in spontaneous abortion, and the number is probably much higher (maybe even 50%) due to the woman not knowing she was pregnant. I would also suggest that the issues that make pregnancy an even more high-risk event for women have to do with poor health outcomes in general, of which we have many in the US, across all demographics and age groups. We could do better to make pregnancy, which is already a high-risk event, less high-risk, but any top down instruction is received poorly in the US.

I've lived in the south and been a republican - that also goes to church every Sunday - my entire life... I've never ONCE heard anyone say or espouse this.
NOBODY wants to make medically-necessary abortions illegal, or criminalize the doctors that perform them; at least nobody that I've ever had contact with in any way.
I don't think you're a liberal/Dem based on the context, but this is the kind of misinformed view of pro-life people they run around and villainze people with. Because pro-choice people have a misunderstanding of what the opposing side actually wants and is saying, the two sides will always be at odds.
Most people on the Right that want to overturn RvW simply want to take it back to a state's right to decide and remove the federal government and constitution from the equation. Your misinformed views only serve to further the left's incorrect opinion of us.
