Nope, it’s because of contact tracing. The players who have to sit have all had 6 negative test over the past 2 weeks. It’s not big numbers like tech but it’s mostly one position group.

Not surprising. Contact tracing has been the reason for most of these cancellations.

can you expand on this? Not quite sure I follow. And who's responsible for making these decisions? The school or the league?

Hard to do this with the contact tracing and quarantining until almost all of the players have it.

The position group requirement is stupid. These are all football players. Put a walk-on in or move someone from another position.

Virtually every lineman played offense and defense at some point in high school. Probably every skill player played DB/RB/WR. Probably half the skill players played QB at some point.

Play the fricking games.
