When will this love for Ohio State end. They have been blownout the last two years by SEC teams. They are consistently rated in the top 5 each year. The reason seems to be returning players that are the same players that get beat. I don't get it!!! My prediction is that they get humiliated by USC this year.

Did you have no clue last year was suppose to be a rebuilding year for us? Ever since Troy, Teddy, Gonzo, and that class left, this is the season Buckeye fans have been pumped about.

True. But . . . . . . .

Unfortunately, aside from USC, OSU's schedule is

The Big Ten (11) is

And if OSU loses vs USC, your chances to return to the BCS MNC should be

Really depends on how close the game is, IMO. If they lose by a field goal on the road and finish with just one loss while the only other team with one loss is someone like OU then I see no reason to not give them another chance at USC in Miami

LSU isn't rebuilding this year. Every year is a "rebuilding year in college football. You lose some, you pick up more.

Bucknuts are melting.

It makes no sense to denegrate a team you beat...it only makes LSU look bad...

I am always saying how great OSU is...Why? Because it makes LSU really look good to have beaten them.

And, OSU puts a good many guys into the pros...

OSU has two bad games in a row when it came to the NC...They have won one BCS title...and continue to stomp UM's arse....

You ought to be directing your hate towards USC...they are the MFs!

Buckeyes are good sports and good people...way beter than theose arse whipes from LA - not Louisiana....Los Angeles and Southern California...

If you think Ohio State sucks, just look at their recruiting class this year and years past...

LSU WASN'T rebuilding this year. Then RP went all RP and now they are very much in a rebuilding year. 9-3/8-4 is a very likely outcome for this year.

I agree to the general premise that the media puts too much stock in returning players. They always assume players are going to be better, not just with OSU, but with all teams.

But, OSU didn't get BLOWN OUT last year ala Florida. They have just as much talent as anyone in the Top 10.

Well said. Their program has shown what it is...damn lucky to be in the conference it is. Otherwise, they'd be playing in Memphis or Shreveport at the end of the year.

My point was OSU doesn't rebuild, they reload. If you think they're "melting" you seriously don't know shite about college football. The recruiting classes Tressel continues to bring in are loaded. The freshmen class is freakishly loaded.

Ohio St. will knock off SC, and then after that, who knows who will be in the NC Game. Hell, after last year, and all the parity and solid teams out there, it could be two of eight to ten teams that meet in Miami, including LSU.

One thing Tressel does tremendously well that people don't notice is he develops average recruits into studs.

AJ Hawk- 3 star
Nick Mangold- 3 star
JL- 3 star
Malcolm Jenkins- 3 star
Santonio Holmes- 3 star

OSU might have a few stars. But top to bottom they lack the talent the only the south can provide. TX,LA,MS,GA,AL and FL have 2 and 3 star kids that would be 4 or 5 stars up there. It is the level of comp. that seperates these kids.

Is that why the 4a player of the year from florida is playing football at D3 Mount Union this season?
