Ehhh, not so much. Left and right have something in common - Human Nature. Both have extremists who want to control everyone else. You see the left's on TV every night, because they are in ascendency now. The right has the religious fundamentalists who would trample our liberties in the name of conformity if they could. Read The Scarlet Letter for an example.

I always say that the political spectrum is really a circle. Start at the top with one moving left and the other moving right. At first you'll appear to be moving away from one another. Soon enough you'll meet at the bottom where Antifa and The Proud Boys hang out. Is there really that much difference between Stalin and Hitler?

There's some worthiness in your post, I'll give you that. But some laziness too.

Comparing the terrorists of Antifa to the Proud Boys sounds like some nonsense I'd hear from Lemmon, Steltzer or Maddow.

And the Hitler-Stalin thing. BOTH were socialists. Only the indoctrinated believe Hitler was "right-wing".

While there is a wee bit of truth here, there's a tremendous amount of exaggeration and hyperbole.

First, I haven't noticed any evangelicals burning down neighborhoods, shooting cops, extorting businesses, or corporations splattering their propaganda all over the place.

Second, imposing religion always has separation from government power because of the first amendment. No one is going to make you go to a church you don't want to. "Diversity" training... not so much.

Third, The Scarlett letter was published in 1850. That's 170 years ago It was not a "how-to" book. It was historical fiction when it was published of a by-gone era--in 1850.

There is NO equivalence here.

Sure, we should be vigilant against any oppressive groups that want to restrict other's freedoms. And if religious people become a threat to freedom -- we will.

But comparing s hypothetical of a religious caliphate vs. what's actually happening with Antifa and BLM is... sorry to say... silly.
