Gee, who would have thought that constantly harping on racial differences would lead to resentment amongst the various groups?

The right has the religious fundamentalists who would trample our liberties in the name of conformity if they could. Read The Scarlet Letter for an example.
First, I haven't noticed any evangelicals burning down neighborhoods, shooting cops, extorting businesses, or corporations splattering their propaganda all over the place.
Second, imposing religion always has separation from government power because of the first amendment. No one is going to make you go to a church you don't want to. "Diversity" training... not so much.
Third, The Scarlett letter was published in 1850. That's 170 years ago It was not a "how-to" book. It was historical fiction when it was published of a by-gone era--in 1850.
There is NO equivalence here.
Sure, we should be vigilant against any oppressive groups that want to restrict other's freedoms. And if religious people become a threat to freedom -- we will.
But comparing s hypothetical of a religious caliphate vs. what's actually happening with Antifa and BLM is... sorry to say... silly.

You know, the color blind society where people are judged for who they are, not what they are...
I’ll never understand truly why that became such a hated philosophy. The intent wasn’t that being ‘color blind’ was to take away from being who you are, iow sure, go ahead and embrace your heritage.
It was to say I’m not better than you because we are different, I will not be an idiot and judge you based on your color.
En Vogue used to sing about it back in my day, I’ve always felt that way and will continue to do so. No one can make me think that is wrong.

The lingering problem lies in the suppositions and preconceptions a person makes about another before getting to know that person, often based largely upon race, ethnicity, etc.
You're declaring a natural mental function of making judgements based on available data to be a problem.

Good lord man, what world do you live in?
It’s a basic survival skill. And humans are good at it.
