I Spit on Your Grave is a classic. Its actually considered a female empowerment movie.
A) so what?
B) was the victim character actually raped in the movie? That's the accurate comparison.

Would you condone rape porn where the victim murders the rapist at the end? Idiot.
Sounds like the plot of “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”. Pretty good flick. I liked the book better

This movie really does go a long way to show how polar opposite ends of society equally do not value women
You have the one world that completely approves of multiple wives showing that they do not care about women. then you have the other side that only cares about women as much as they are able to be sexualized.
It is a harsh truth, and it is sad that you want to stick your head in the sand.
Let me guess on your response......"so what?"

Yes. The movie is about a woman who gets raped then tracks down the rapists and murders them. The original movie was made in the 70s and there was a remake with a few sequels about 10 years ago.

I'm not watching this but someone explain to me how this shite is any different than the hundred or so girls dance clubs that march during Mardi Gras with girls between 6-16 marching and dancing in sexually provocative ways that are repulsive to those with a moral compass?

Discussing a film gets this response.
Zero chance you are a practicing attorney because your communication skills are seriously lacking.

We aren't discussing anything. I don't give a shite whether you think I'm a practicing attorney. You are a sick pervert who is now apparently stalking me. I am not anonymous on here. You can very easily figure out who i am and come see me, coward.
If you think a movie with actual 13 (average, which means and younger) old girls doing the shite they do in that movie is okay in any context then I repeat, you belong at least on a list.
Bye.

Plot from Wikipedia
quote:
Things turn swiftly, as Amy is fascinated by her disobedient neighbour Angelica's twerking clique called Cuties, an adult-style dance troupe which has contrasting fortunes and characteristics to Mariam's religious customs, values and traditions. The pre-teens practice for a competition and do not hesitate to adopt revealing outfits in the image of their older competitors. Encouraged by success and the quest for recognition on social networks, suffering from her own family situation, Amy plays the one up and incorporates gestures of quasi-pornographic videos in the choreography. Following a humiliation at school, she loses her footing and sends a compromising photo of her vagina on social networks, which causes her to be rejected by her classmates. Following a quarrel with the rest of the Cuties, they ban her from performing with them at the dance contest. While her father's wedding is on the same day as the final competition at Parc de la Villette, she is determined to dance with them. Sneaking out of the house in her dance outfit, she pushes another member of the Cuties, Yasmine, into a lake, so that the Cuties have no choice but to allow her to dance with them. The highly suggestive dance routine shocks the audience. Amy bursts into tears before the end of the performance and leaves to join her mother. Upon her return, she runs into her aunt who blames her for her outfit and recent attitude. Amy's mother intervenes by telling her to leave her daughter alone and then hugs her to reassure her. Amy implores her mother to allow Amy to not attend the wedding, in order to demonstrate her disapproval. Amy's mother permits her to not go, but states that she herself must go to fulfill her duty as a wife. Amy then abandons both the traditional wedding dress and her sexy dancer's outfit, and, in jeans and a t-shirt, her hair down, she goes out to play jump rope with a group of girls.

No one was raped in Cuties. Its not a snuff film.

I tried watching it because of all the controversy and thought I'd make up my own mind it was just too uncomfortable
the points could be made without being so graphic I'm no prude but that was kiddie porn
So
You came to the correct conclusion, but you still fricking watched it anyway. Which is why it’s apparently rated so highly
I get that outrage society has blurred the lines of what is truly worth getting upset about, but if you hear about some new show that’s super controversial because it’s borderline child porn WHY give it the clicks? What could possibly be the positive outcome?
Not gonna say frick you and mean it because countless people fall into the same trap. Just want to give advice, don’t fricking click it.
Peace

I read Some reviews about the plot and I get It, but it’s still seems way too far out of my comfort zone.
The people defending this film as being anti-pedophilia is ridiculous. This is like an episode of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” where the gang tries to fight pedophilia with an episode titled “The Gang Makes a Pedophile Movie”.

I’m going to make a movie about animal cruelty by torturing real animals. It too will make valid points.
Yes, the depiction of something horrible that elicits a repulsed reaction is how you effectively communicate is repulsive.

Congratulations to everyone who bitched and spread the word about this film until it was popular. You can always depend on the political dupes to promote what they hate.
