Yeah it sounds made up for sure.
Maybe I'm naive, but I really don't think many Americans frick with 9/11 like that.

Not sure about that. It would have been easier to just blame Covid and be done with it. No need for any other reasons. By adding “protest concerns” makes me think they did that on purpose to make a point.
