One uncle. He's completely out of his mind. He recently attempted to tell me that Obama was the best president we've had since Truman.

My mother, who is incredibly ate up with TDS (thanks to her sister/my aunt). It's a damn shame.

I have family members and friends on both sides and they are both insufferable.

The Trump side tends to look at every granular aspect of life through a political lens and have echo’d themselves into crazy uncle status. The lib side overreacts and tribalizes in response, to where they claim to support things I know they don’t.

Getting off social media would solve a lot of it. Family reunions in the 80s were about football and golf, vacation plans etc. those were the good old days.

My wife is a progressive liberal, while I am a Trump supporting conservative. Leads to interesting debates in the home. She doesn’t like Biden, either, so will probably vote Libertarian.

I have a few crazy hippie aunts, but my immediate family is all Trump.

My MIL says she is as well, but I question her stance ever time an issue comes up.

Brother & SIL. He & his wife have lived in NYC, DC & SF. Both grew up near Savannah, GA. They both were reading White Fragility at the family beach trip this year.

Same with my Mom.

One cousin in Oklahoma on my dad's side is full-on socialist but at least she can still be civil and just not talk politics. Two cousins, brothers, on my mom's side have been actively involved with anqueefa and participating in the riots in Portland.

Haven't talked to the Portland cousins since they graduated high school 20 years ago, but apparently they've told people on DU that they have a cousin in Oklahoma who "is a Nazi fascist redneck that should be locked up and beaten" until I submit and accept communism.

Yeah, TigerAxe has been a target of Democratic Underground, ya'll

Brother. Though he has never been much of one to speak of

He is the perfect example of a soy boy. Mommy and daddy paid his bills, he graduated with a poetry degree, works in media. He even called on election night to cuss out my parents and disown the family.

Haven't spoken to him since 2016.

Oh yes. My family is full of OMB. They want to sit with the cool kids.

IDGAF. Screw the dems for their socialism and other evils.
