Irrelevant tangent but DoE Q wouldn't participate in the DoD so anything they know from the DoD would be free to share.
Either way, people can be authorized to release classified information if operations call for it.

Wow this changes everything. You see, the milligal callouts in one scene were the first hint. The second hint is one of the scenes that was obviously shot in Strait Juan de Fuca. Do you know what is just further south of that strait? The US Nuclear Arsenal. You know what else is south of that? An island of pedophiles, MacNeil Island. It is where the DSHS of Washington state contains pedophiles. It all makes sense now. The key has to be on MacNeil Island. I beleive the guy who stole the plane from SeaTac was aiming to free his brothers and sisters from MacNeil, but was sidetracked when an invisible missile forced him to crash on Anderson Island.

As a retired DOE, "C Clearance" guy, I can say, Every swinging wanna be big dick, had a BASIC "Q" clearance.
DOE, with the NRC, control our nuclear weapons.
