How long do we see physical remnants of COVID in stores?

Basically every store I can think of in the last few months has laid down tons of floor separation stickers (some of them custom made with their own graphics as opposed to just some electrical tape) as well as having added physical barriers between the shopper and the cashier and others.
How long after the “end” of COVID do these things last? Do most businesses get right on it and tear them down and peep up the stickers or do we see these things around For years basically until buildings start getting renovated or reoccupied?

Years. People will be paranoid and stores will have to keep them up or get shamed by twitter mobs for YEARS.
There will also be multiple more "pandemics" that get people riled up but never materialize. Now that the media and government know they can achieve this level of panic and control, a new one will pop up every year or so to get people in a frenzy, and nothing comes of it.

They’re not going anywhere. They’ll “enforce” this dumb shite every flu season now.

My local Walmart here in Texas removed three exit barriers over the weekend. I guess that's progress.

If Biden wins, the media will act like the world is perfect as soon as he takes office in January

I must say that some stuff makes sense. Hanging plexi-glass at gas station counters isn't an inconvenience and just makes sense. Spacing out at checkout lines is also kind of nice Get off my arse Karen, the checkout lady doesn't go faster if we all bunch up together and pressure her. Also don't mind the hand sanitizer stations everywhere.
Some floor spacing shite and capacity rules are rightfully going to go away because they're outrageous though and too inconvenient.
Edit - I also love the restaurant tables being far from each other. Privacy is awesome But I get that needs to go away for businesses to be profitable. I'll just enjoy that part while it lasts
Also, not shaking hands makes sense, although I'll immediately start doing it again.

Hopefully people never go back to the old days of showing up sick for work or sending their frick trophies to school with a cold

Agreed.
I've always publicly shamed people in my office for doing this.

My kids have colds like 6 months out of the year . It's the stomach bugs and fevers you can't send them to school with, the rest of it is just part of their germ resistance training.

Publix has already removed the directional isle markers.

Man, I never followed that shite at all and don't think I saw anyone else really doing it either.

stores have already removed the "one-way aisle" stickers and are no longer enforcing the 1 entrance only thing anymore
the only thing most still have are the Plexiglas things for the cashiers

Which isn’t exactly defined. Is it going to be October - March or September through April?

Our Kroger and Publix also disinfect the conveyor belts at checkout after each customer and I hope that stays along with the hanging plexi barriers for cashier. Seems like a no-brainer.

Gone at Publix in North GA as of this week. Mask sign is still up but all floor signage is gone. No more 1 way rows.

Why is everyone seemingly so pro plexiglass barrier? It feels like it makes it hard to hear what they’re saying
