Just schlob all over the SEC's knob on "Tirico and Van Pelt" saying he has never seen a league so stacked.

He finally realizes the truth, and doesn't want to get embarrassed again when an SEC team whoops up on some poor other team........or when two SEC teams play for the NCG......

I've always thought Herbstreit was a true believer when it comes to the SEC. I can recall LOTS of times when he praised the strength of the league over the years.

That is until they play a certain Big Ten team, then he gets a blatant case of the "stupids".

He only says that cause he has to. Who in their right mind would say the SEC is overrated? After we just kicked the shite out everybodys most badass all-american team of all time in Ohio State two years in a row. Weird how Kentucky and Arkansas can beat LSU, much less play with them, but Ohio State shouldnt have even been on the same field.... cant really deny the fact

Deep down (and sometimes not so deep) he's just a high profile homer.

He's been pro SEC the last cpl of years especially after Fla pummeled OSU. But of course they all have to hype up USC - justified and ND for ratings.

No he wasn't. He might not have been Anti-SEC, but he was much more pro-pac10 last year. Every time he was on radio before the season started he talked about how the Pac-10 was the #2 conference in the country.

They don't have to hype USC at all. It is just when discussing the top teams, USC will be involved in the discussion. The #1 overall program right now.

He acknowledges the SEC as the top league, but in the past has thought of other teams as the best. He may have been convinced otherwise.

Any talk about SC - positive or negative = ratings. Of course ESPN is gonna hype up SC all the time. What are you missing?

And that is perfect for this thread because they would not be the #1 program if they were in the SEC.
