Black players, recruits, and coaches read this board daily. All they see is how Tiger Nation really doesn't give a shite about what's important to them. It's sad that something matters so much to someone else and you guys come here and say, "Nah, there's no racism."

You dudes need to get over it. Folks are always talking about how recruits read the forums and cautioning others not to show their asses. If that's true, this forum won't help us in recruiting with all of the politicizing of the Rant.

Exactly. We should just pretend like there are really police running around popping caps in innocent black people in order to get recruits for our favorite football team. Not only that, but also bend a knee and admit that this fake atrocity is also our fault.

That’s kind of hard to do being that Tiger Stadium was built on politics.
He meant to say "please keep politics that I don't agree with out of LSU sports".

Well Ryan Clark came and spoke to the team and am has still not cleared the air with O. Dude just doesn’t like O. It’s fine, but bury the hatchet for the boys and program you claim to care about, man. We get it, you and O will never go fishing together, but damn if you don’t try to punk him out every time you get the chance. Tweeting a picture of Saban leading the Bama team and saying it isn’t too much to ask O to do the same even though it’s O who gave his players the agency to have the freedom to feel like they could go do that march. fricking asinine.

This is a really bad look. The fact O and the coaches didn't know does show trust issues among the team.

It’s the south. The lowest educated people in the country. What do you expect? 95% of people in the south that actually get an education leaves that backwoods shithole as soon as they can. What’s left is so easily manipulated that they believe in nutjob conspiracy bullshite like Qanon.

Then why do I have all these Yankees invading New Orleans if it’s so shitty? And Nashville, and Houston, etc.

How would you feel, if they only said Latinos Lives Matter ? or White Lives Matter ?

I’d feel the same way I do about BLM. Up until I hear the majority of them saying “ONLY Latino (or black) lives matter”, I have no issue.

The leaders of BLM don't actually care about black lives. They want power. Its evident from the number of black people that die every day that they don't do anything about. Only white cops killing black people. Thats a small sample of black people that are killed.

Tell me that you do see a difference between a black civilian killing another black civilian and a cop killing a civilian.

You have every right to defend yourself against another civilian coming after you regardless of how right or wrong he is but you have no legal right to defend yourself against a cop coming after you regardless of how right or wrong he is. He can literally do anything he wants to you and you have no legal right to fight back. You can only let it happen and hope that your complaint or the justice system works (and often it doesn’t).

Do the Beat Breast Cancer groups threaten to kill or destroy the lives & careers of the people who say “Beat Leukemia”? Do they label all of the other Cancer groups RACISTS NAZIS & WHITE SUPREMACISTS or for having their own opinion or an opinion that differs from theirs? EXACTLY!

GTFO here with “Of course all lives matter” because the groups ur defending & supporting ABSOLUTELY 1000% - DO NOT AGREE with that sentiment! They’ve gone out of their way to ensure that ANYONE that dares say that publicly will regret it when there done with them! Maybe u should do some fact finding on ur beloved BLM & ANTIFA groups, u know more than just a cursory scratch of the surface. Then you would clearly see just how HATEFUL, ANTI-AMERICAN, ANTI-WHITE RACISTS & CRIMINAL the vast majority of the people in these groups truly are!

Or just keep regurgitating what you see on CNN & MSNBC during the 2 1/2 minutes a night you devote to News gathering LOL!

Or it shows that it was player-led, and that is how they wanted it. It also shows that at the end of the day these men are still learning.

Probably best to tell your boss if you intend to take a day off.

And for the life of me I can't figure out why it's so awful to acknowledge the racism in Americas past.

That wasn't any of us, we didn't do that, our only connection to slavery is standing in the same general area where some horrific shite happened 300 years ago. So just acknowledge how we got here, it's no reflection on you.

Start in 1619, when the first slave ship (the White Lion) arrived. Native Americans owned slaves here before European settlers did.

This is a full year before the Plymouth Colony was established in 1620.

For the next 160 years, slavery thrived in the US, until Vermont became the first colony to ban it in 1777.

Other northern states followed but in no way are they the good guys here. Yeah the Confederate govt was awful to Black people but the official US govt was only marginally better.

In 1787 the Constitutional Convention decided black people only counted as three-fifths of a "real" person.

After that we decided to expand, and suddenly didn't give a shite if states had slaves anymore. Missouri was admitted as a slave state in 1820. The Kansas-Nebraska Act went even further in 1854, allowing all the new western states to hold slaves.

Black people had been here for 235 years at that point, and they were still being kept as slaves.

White people used that time to build a nation for themselves, an infrastructure with some of the worlds finest colleges and universities, and the greatest government history had ever seen, all while black people were still living in the dirt with nothing.

So yeah, we gave ourselves a pretty decent head start.

In 1865 the Emancipation Proclamation was ratified.

Big step forward.

Lincoln died a few months later and was replaced by Andrew Johnson.

Big step back.

Johnson was more than happy to see Black Code laws wash over the south, slavery was still alive in all but name.

In 1866 Congress passed a Civil Rights bill to give Black Americans the rights of full citizenship.

Johnson vetoed it.

In 1870, with the 14th and 15th Amendments, the federal govt finally gave black men the right to vote.

It essentially would not matter, Jim Crow laws evolved from the Black Code laws, they kept segregation legal on the local level, Black people were still denied the right to vote and other basic freedoms for another hundred years.

It wasn't until 1954 that Brown v. Board of Education finally ended segregation of schools.

It took another decade for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to ban segregation in public spaces.

One more year for the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Another three years for the Fair Housing Act of 1968 to end legal discrimination in renting and selling homes.

That was only 50 years ago.

Black people have been here for 400 years, and it took 350 for us to reverse course and officially declare that they're human beings, with the same right to a free and happy life as white people.

And even that is only according to the letter of the law. If you think the spirit of the law magically changed overnight than you're willfully ignorant, theres no other option and no other way to say it.

I don't believe in reparations, I'm not some self-loathing liberal, I have no white guilt, but things have never been fair to black people here. We need to at least acknowledge and talk about that.

Johnny U.... newsflash dude BLM is a marxist orgainzation and if players march in support of them they are wrong. If they want to march for something how come they dont march when innocent police officers get killed. Or when blacks kill blacks. Does it only matter if a white police officer shoots a black man. And by the way that number is way lower than any other statistic out there. Blacks kill far more blacks than police officers kill blacks. And bottom line why cant these guys getting shot cooperate with the police. Why do they feel the need to resist. Because they mommas and daddys didnt beat that arse enough growing up. Im black and my arse got beat. And im a better man for it
