I just picked up some Merbau for a drawer that I'm building for an outdoor console table. Supposed to be like teak at 1/3 the price. I didn't want to use Ipe for the furniture since it was gonna be sitting on the Ipe deck.

I just used some Ipe on an outdoor kitchen. Eat up a saw blade on rips. But it’s beautiful with a clear coat.

Not sure I would spend the money to use it on a deck and have to keep refinishing. At that point go with Azek.

The pics of the Merbau looked amazing. Might be a good option as well.
