Not sure if anyone is interested in Cecil "the diesel" Collins private signing on the 12th of September. Just wanted to let the older guys of TD aware since the young bucks dont know about the diesel. If anyone is interested in getting something signed, let me know.

All proceeds go to his future legal fees.

Where would he have ranked all time as an LSU RB? Honest question

Yeh right, play it down. That dude was unreal running the football. And you sound like he was meh and saying he broke his leg like it was weak or something, and who he got his yards against. This guy was better than Fournette, Guice, Falk, everyone who ever wore a LSU RB uni!!!!

May be a valuable signature. It is not often you can get something signed by the biggest waste of talent in football history.

I remember hearing Ron Franklin, who was the ESPN broadcaster for the Auburn game, say after the game that he had just seen the best running back since Hershel Walker.
Injuries and personal problems kept him from being a great one...possibly Heisman-class great one. But we will never know.

Calling CC anything other that a WASTE is a hilarious over assessment. It’s like saying Ryan Periloux was one of the greatest QBs.

I have a McNeese signed program with Faulk, Collins, Mealey. Faulk and Mealey came watch Collins play for a game and I was able to get all 3 autographs. I guess I need to get my wife to frame it for me. It's just sitting in a box.

One long-time Tiger fan told me Collins’ talent and running style reminded him most of Jimmy Taylor. Good company...

Cecil Collins was the best college running back I’ve ever seen. I saw him in person, but that includes any college running back, in person or on tv. Before he came along, it was Hershel Walker. He would’ve possibly averaged 200 yds/game the year he played had he not been an outlaw. Just my 2 cents.

He could have been a generational talent, clearly elite ability and an absolute freight train.
As good as he was on the field, he as equally on the other end of the spectrum with off field problems. So I wouldn’t rank him anywhere of significance in LSU history. He didn’t even make it a full season of playing time.

Seems like neither of you managed to stay in school any longer than Cecil.
