No, Feds cannot just wily-nilly take over. The State has to request the help.

Sheriff is technically the absolute law in each county, but they wouldn't turn away help if stuff was going down.

The feds need to stay the hell out of state government. State government needs to do its fricking job.

Most of you call yourselves conservatives but when times are tough you act like liberals. Expecting intervention from the federal government.
Your okay with conservatism when it's beneficial to you.
Trump is probably assessing this on two fronts. He is a Republican President, so he has to at least favor conservative values of state when necessary. States should be the ones putting down riots like this, not the federal government. Trump knows that it's mostly left leaning places rioting, so he isn't losing much from an election perspective.
If you really believe in "states rights" (which most on here actually don't, it's just a convienent reason). Then you have to acknowledge all states ARE NOT going handle things the same way.

DEMs aren’t requesting bc they want Trump to look bad.
But it’s blowing up in their faces. Have Don Lemon saying on air, the rioting needs to stop. Not bc of the damage to property or lively hoods being destroyed, but bc it’s helping Trump in the polls.
