Juvenile copperhead

Neighbor killed this. Is this a juvenile copperhead? I’ve never seen these in my hood before.

My wife(no pics)was working in a flower bed last Friday and wanted me to come see what kind of snake she saw. Turns out it was just like that. I've killed 2 more since then in a pretty small area. It's almost become a mission for me now.

That's the dead giveaway for both of these as juveniles.

It's due to the fact that they are VERY closely related

i had one come up to my back door and look through the glass. Dog was inside and started going crazy. That was about 3 years ago and i hadn't seen another one since. Hopefully it stays that way.

Almost stepped on one going to fill a feeder before last deer season. He was like 10 inches long. After he got the business I saw a few more around his size in the same little area over the next couple of days.
