I should say I'm located on Government st. and went back and forth for years if the drop down to two lanes was good idea or not. But it looks like they did it just right. The choke point would have been Foster intersection and they kept that 4 lane. Also they put a left turn arrow at Govt West bound and Acadian going south.

Also before it was a major bitch to take a left out of the side streets. Now it's easy. Just jump into the median and wait for traffic to pass.

I'm not located on it, but I travel on it a fair bit. It's taking me a little bit of time to re-map the businesses I can and can't turn left directly into, but overall, I think it's going to work exactly as intended.

And dear god, do I love me that roundabout at Government/Lobdell...

Agreed. I can't for the life of me get what all the complaining is about with this project. Government street looks about 1000x nicer than it ever has. If people don't want the slower pace to get downtown, just jump one street over to Florida. I seriously don't get it.
