Cajun's Fried Chicken?

Is it gone? I remember we used to go over there to the 'chicken buffet' and get popeyes-like chicken for like $3 which included the dessert bar..which no one ever had room for after shoving down 8 pieces of greasy-arse chicken.
(In hindsight, perhaps its best for all involved that this place is gone)

Didn't it close after some ex-employee went postal in there?
I used to like that place. They also had a great ice cream bar with loads of toppings to put on. Although you could barely fit it after downing a bunch of chicken and biscuits.

Yeah it closed after an ex employee tried to rob the place. A young woman was killed and the male manager was shot and is confined to a wheelchair for life. Some patrons in a fast food joint next door saw the culprit leave and were able to give a good description of the suspect. He was tried and given the death penalty. Of course that means that he'll live another fifty years.

Now I'm a little sad I started this thread. I had no idea that place had such a tragic ending. :(

Which are good cracklins as well.
I need to try Willie Mae's next door. Think she's only open for lunch. Looks like a good little soul food place.
