I am no fan of Cole Anthony. I'm sorry, but if you can't lead UNC to a even a tourney berth, you aren't that good.
His team was not very good. His shot selection was pretty bad, and was probably due to the team that was surrounding him. But, he has an elite handle, and can shoot the 3 off the dribble. Which are the two traits that I think are most important for a lead ball handler in the league. Worst case for him, IMO, is that he's a microwave that can come off the bench and when he's on he can put up 20+ in a given game. Best case, he's a star lead ball handler, Kyrie, Dame, Kemba, etc...

Ben Simmons didn't lead LSU to a NCAA berth, I guess that guy sucks too

I'm not all in on Cole Anthony, I just think he has a really high ceiling. I also really like Aaron Nesmith.

Johnny Jones isn't Roy Williams, and LSU hadn't been to the tournament 16 of the last 17 years like UNC had, and the one year they didn't make it, they lost in the NIT finals.

Anthony is definitely being overlooked. Reminds me of the knock on Donovan Mitchell coming out of Louisville.
