He’s a walk on. A pretty good one, but highly unlikely to unseat York. He or Preston Stafford would take over if York was injured, Culp was the insurance last year, and I don’t think they have any confidence in Atkins placekicking.

Great info. I don't know who Mata or Stafford are. Have only really focused on York. 3 more years of that guy should be great.

Did anyone notice how long his run up is. We were allowed two steps that was all and he is taking five or six. It is more like a kickoff than a field goal.

I don’t know shite about kicking, but when he does he takes 3 small steps back and 2 to the right when he Kicks it’s only two steps and boom, he’s not taking 5 steps and kicking off, im sure he’s kicking quick enough to make it good. I don’t believe the Coaches missed this when evaluating him, but if they did maybe you can be a Walk-on special teams Coach or just watch the video again.

That’s what I was gonna say, he’s a Cardinal Scholar and in a bunch of other SMART clubs I can’t pronounce. He’s on a full Academic scholly with a 4.2 GPA, Coach Mac had him at a camp when he was in junior high, remembered he had potential and a recommendation from his personal coach John Carney whom both were at the Saints.
