wow.. that was impressive.
The comment below the youtube video is correct. AT the 28 second mark two saints draftees celebrate together. Porter gives him a big five.

It's about time...the dude has missed nearly a weeks worth of practices already. I personally am getting tired of the holdouts and such with rookies...you're going to get paid and the only thing you're doing is setting yourself back in playing time.

He missed, what, 6 days? Porter will miss more than that with his hamstring. This is the last time these 1st rounders will have any leverage for 4-5 years. In a sport as violent as football and without guaranteed contracts, they have to take advantage.

Yeah, it really chaps my hide when a billionaire sticks it to a millionaire. The little guy always gets the shaft.

Not all football players are millionaires.

Those players knew long ago that they would not be running out of the tunnel every Sunday. If they get cut, it's expected and they are probably not bitching about it.

and these owners knew long ago that if they low-ball free agents they wont' sign them, and if they have the rights to a player who wants a top-level contract and the team doesn't want to give it to them, the player will hold out for the money
it's expected and the owners shouldn't bitch about it if the players don't bitch about being cut

What owner was bitching about a holdout? I wasn't even aware that that was being discussed here.
Getting back to the point. You said that you don't like the way ownership can cut athletes with no guarrantees to money.
My opinion on that isthat I dont give a rats arse what kind of money problems happen between two entities that happen to be in the top 3 percent (income wise) in the couintry. One billionare fricks over one hundred millionares. I'll start to care when one of them starts paying my bills.
I want entertainment. I want the team that I have an emotional investment in to be competitive on the fricking field. frick the rest.
BTW, I understand the business side of it all but no team in the NFL is going bankrupt and none of these athletes who are worth a shite are hurting for money.
