Question about my dad's old Stevens Model 59A bolt-action .410

I acquired my dad's old Stevens Model 59A .410 yesterday, on the 3rd anniversary of his death. It was stolen about 4 years ago from his house that he was remodeling and was recovered by the police. Unfortunately, he had much more valuable guns that were never recovered.
I've never used a tube-fed bolt-action shotgun before, but I would like to clean it up and use it around the camp, and eventually pass it down to little LSU Tigershark.
I don't have any shells for it yet, but I'm trying to figure out how to feed the shells into it. The end of the tube is open and there is a hole underneath the tube, so I'm assuming there is a piece missing. Can anyone tell me a little about the gun, approximate age, if it looks like something is missing? Thanks

It looks like the old Mossberg I inherited. If so, there is a 3 or 4 shot magazine That clips in underneath.

I have a single shot Mossberg that is very similar. It was the gun my dad (also RIP) used to teach me to shoot. It kicks way above its weight class and I only use it for fun or a likely unsuccessful squirrel hunt. I painted the stock black when I was a dumb arse teenager. I recently got out it of storage to restore the stock and reblue the barrel.

There should be a tube with a spring inside that fits down the tube under the barrel. The shells are loaded through the tube under the barrel.

Looks like you’re missing the spring and retainer for the magazine tube.

The part you are missing is the magazine tube assembly. I can't figure out how to post the pictures that I took, but it is a tubular section of brass with a knurled plug with locking pin at the outer end and a spring loaded pusher plug at the other end. The pusher is kept from coming out of the tube by a recessed rib rolled into the brass tube. Gun Parts Corp shows it in stock for $33.75 at LINK

You can typically find schematics at Numerich(sp) and parts as well. I have a couple of old Stevens shotguns, and they had the parts I needed.

Thanks. I'll be ordering that
