Lumber Yards - Northshore

Are there any decent lumber yards around the Northshore area not named Home Depot or Lowes? Looking for more of a variety/quality of wood for wooding working projects that the big box stores just don't have.

I work by a company that uses a lot of lumber for their business. The get their lumber from Dufrene Building Materials, Inc.

Brazo's in Denham, although it'd be a little bit of a drive from the North Shore. I want to say there's a hardwood lumberyard in Ponchatoula as well...Acadian Cypress maybe?

Wolfe’s Lumber in Ponchy has better prices than Gabriel.

Is Poole Lumber Co. still open in Covington? Those bastards used to give my mother dozens of wooden yardsticks to beat our arse with.

Yes they are still open and would probably be the op's best bet.
