As we know, the self-proclaimed intellectually superior blue state conferences (Big 10 and Pac 12) are shutting down. The ACC wants to play. The SEC will likely play bc It Just Means More(TM).

That just leaves the Big 12, a conference known for getting 50 and 60 burgers dropped on their defenses in CFB playoff games. A conference where every team has a spread QB from Texas named "Cade", "Colt", or "Maverick". A conference the produces 195 lb linebackers that will never play in the NFL but were legends in their 20K seat stadiums in high school.

Big 12 - this is your time to not be soft. The SEC has big nuts. The ACC has smaller nuts, but they are nutting up nonetheless.

LFG!

Is it really “self-proclaimed” if just about every meaningful metric to measure population intelligence supports it?

SEC is the most likely to play but IMO I don’t see them doing it alone. If every other conference cancels, they will too.

To Our Big 12 Brethren:

Will never call you soft again. You guys would've DEFINITELY won the NC in 2009 if Colt McCoy didn't get hurt on the 1st drive vs. Bama

SEC has the smallest nuts of those playing. They aren’t playing out of conference games.

I don't think it'll change anything for this season, but how they handle this could go a long way towards luring in a couple good programs in the next realignment. Maybe even Nebraska. Big 10 has more money, but if the big money boosters want out I think they actually could go back. Doesn't seem like there's the same enthusiasm at Colorado but I wish they'd go back too.
