Show the rest of the world they made a mistake by choosing another conference beside SEC. In turn, it shows future recruits what conference- SEC- will give them commitment and a choice about their future development and wont turn their back on them.

We've got one spot. So no. Transfers count as initial counters and those spots aren't readily available in the power 5 conferences.

It is kind of funny that the two conferences are basically giving themselves a mini death penalty if the other three conferences play. They are going to be center stage and this will effect future recruiting.
